The NFB State Convention was held in Huntsville, Alabama at the Marriott Hotel on March 1-3, 2013. The exhibitor hall was booming with new and innovative assistive technology devices. Some of the devices included the new Victor Reader Stream with its slim-line design and great new features, and the Focus 14 refreshable Braille display. Also exhibited were all kinds of taxidermy animals including a red tailed hawk, a raccoon, a mink, and a bob cat exhibited by a near by wildlife reserve. Those who attended were kept busy with various sessions on many different topics ranging from Diabetes to various technology devices. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and courteous. All in all it was a fascinating convention offering great learning opportunities for everyone involved.
